The database is regularly updated and constantly expanded. Further countries are being planned and will be successively added to our data collection.

You can track the current status of the recorded data on the map. All water values relevant to you - such as water hardness and nitrate levels - are determined on a site-specific basis.

Do you need other drinking water analysis parameters in addition to the water hardness or nitrate value, such as the conductivity or pH value?

In the course of our updates, we have started to transfer further water parameters, which are listed in the analyses of the water suppliers, into our database. These include carbonate hardness, conductivity, pH value, calcium, magnesium, sodium, ammonium, chloride and sulphate.

Do you need a parameter that is not listed here?
If the value is published by the water suppliers in the analyses, we can integrate it into the database.

How exactly do we determine the site-specific water values?

The biggest challenge in presenting the individual water qualities are the individual water supply areas, which rarely adhere to the boundaries of the postcode regions. Therefore, a query based solely on postcodes is far too imprecise and often misleading.

Particularly in rural areas, but also in many large cities (for example in Dresden, Frankfurt/Main, Hamburg, Leipzig or Wiesbaden), water is often fed in from different catchment areas and has very different water values depending on the district.

Frankfurt/Main: Postleitzahlgebiete vs. Wasserversorgungszonen
Frankfurt/Main: Postcode areas vs. water supply zones

We have therefore, wherever the analysis data of the cities and municipalities make it necessary, created our own postcode-independent territorial boundaries.
This enables us to provide you with street-accurate results of the water values, regardless of the postcode region.

How can you use our data?

We can set up various accesses to our data for you.
If you need the water values for a specific location, you can use our REST API to query them.
The query can be made via:

  • Smartphone
  • Tablet with built-in GPS localisation
  • Special application, such as our water tips apps
  • Personal Computer/Mac
  • Webbrowser (*)

(*) where the position is determined via the WLAN or the IP address and forwarded to our database. A corresponding API is supported by all current browsers.

The smartphone sends the current location to our database server via an SSL connection.

The database application sends back a JASON string with the relevant information via an SSL connection.

We offer you two simple options here:

Your CRM software sends a POST request to our REST API, in which the address data (house number, street, city, postcode and country) and in return receives a JSON string with the corresponding water data.

You can enter this data manually into an interface developed by us and receive as a result the water values available there together with a graphical representation of the historical development.

Are you interested in using our database within your company, but would like to get a more detailed picture first?

Write to uss or give us a call. We have various demo interfaces for which we can set up access for you and with which you can test access to our data.

If you are convinced by our database, we will find a suitable licence model that is tailored to your application and company size and support you during implementation.

We will be happy to make you a non-binding offer in this regard.
